Neb does a first ever front wheel drive saloon car test (25.03.2011)
Neb decided for the first time in his career to try out a front wheel drive saloon car, and it was a 215 bhp Mini John Cooper Works (JCW) turbo charged racing car.
Neb tested the Mini with Coastal Racing team at Brands Hatch. Neb was sharing Chris Smith’s car (one of the regular front runners in the Mini Championship, from Coastal Racing team), and in less than 30 laps Neb set a blistering lap time on used tyres, which would have put him at the top of the grid based on previous Brands Hatch results.
The whole team, Neb, and even Chris was very impressed with the speed Neb showed during this short test.
Neb commented after the test” Today went really well. I did not expect at all to be this quick and on the pace with the front runners and Chris, especially on my first ever front wheel drive car test. Seeing this result, I will definitely now consider the front wheel drive option in my future racing plans.”
